In May of 2025, I was part of a round of RIFs from the Fed workforce. The time since has been picking up the pieces of a shattered life.
It took about 8 months to find my current job, and while it's been a successful pivot and is going well, it's only about 1/3 of my previous salary. I'm asking for mutual aid to offset some costs as I do a factory reset and readjust my entire life.
I'm also 100% in on full-time advocacy work in DC and nationally, in addition to my day job.
This is part social experiment, part community building. My hope is that if you come across this, you'll find it in you to spare what you can - a drop in the bucket - to help aid in my rebuilding year and putting my focus into the important work of doing my part to shifting this society out of this madness and into something beautiful.
